Edith E. Bell, CPT, Ph.D. is principal consultant for Bell Design Technologies, Inc. She supports manufacturers in creating environments where clear, reliable process and product knowledge helps their people with doing their work.
For more than 30 years, Edith’s focus has been to work with her clients to help them step back and assess how critical knowledge is captured, organized, and used before risks such as lost, outdated, redundant, or undocumented content affect productivity and quality.
This focus leads to designing and implementing a strategy/plan so that manufacturing firms:
- Capture, store, share, and organize their critical knowledge.
- Increase their employees’ ability to find and use this knowledge efficiently.
Edith received an M.B.A. from Aurora University (IL) and a Ph.D. from Capella University (MN) in education with the specialization of training and performance improvement.
Edith is a certified performance technologist (CPT), a designation offered by the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI). She is also a certified knowledge specialist (CKS) with a focus on business taxonomy and ontology, a designation offered by the KM Institute (KMI).
